Since the end of our first season, the wine world has been shaken up by COVID-19 and representation in the wine industry for BIPOC. We have all kinds of issues and emotions being stirred up and changed in major ways all over the world. There is a movement currently happening…where do you stand? Hi, I’m Tanisha, host of Wine School Dropout, a wine podcast hosted and produced by women of color. The wine world has been directly affected by inequalities and exclusion, some due to lack of knowledge and our goal at WSD has always been to change that. Wine is travel, wine is nature, wine is shared with friends, and WSD aims to make wine make wine easier to understand for everyone (of age of course) because wine is for all.
In an effort to spread this message to a wider audience, I will be speaking with Oliver Gee of The Earful Tower on Sunday June 14th at 9pm Paris time on YouTube about the wine world, drinking wine in Paris, and a pretty fun wine tasting…you just gotta see it.
We all have a lot of work to do to make the wine world more inclusive So, your assignment, if you choose to accept it, catch up on Season 1 of WSD and tune in to the WSD. Should you want to support OUR show and help us continue amplifying underrepresented voices in the wine industry, we invite you to make a donation to help us fund Season 2.
